Common Sense Lesson of the Day: Don't Piss Off a Judge

We've all seen them - smart ass teenagers that act like they know it all and act like everything is a joke to them. 18 year old Penelope Soto personifies this as she stood in her prison jumpsuit before a judge in Florida.  Charged with possession of Xanax, Soto didn't seem bothered in the least as she stood there awaiting her fate, unable to stop laughing and smiling.

Soto tried to play it cool and seemed to find the whole thing hilarious as she was questioned about her income and possessions.  She wasn't even phased when the judge set her bond at $5,000 as she began to leave with a flippant "adios!" to the judge.  At that point, the judge decided to teach her a little lesson by calling her back and raising her bond to $10,000.  At this point, Soto finally showed some reaction as she stood there with her jaw dropped, but what followed was even more idiotic as she flipped off the judge and muttered an "F you" while walking off.  The judge then calls her back yet again (shocker) and proceeds to inform her that she had now earned herself 30 days in jail for contempt of court.

This video is pretty fulfilling for anyone that has been annoyed by a teenager such as this.  They act like they're untouchable and are so cool that nothing bothers them, well this judge took some action and figuratively knocked her on her ass.  Even after being informed of the jail time, Soto still tries to act super cool by replying with "that's fine"...sure it is.  Check out how it all went down:

 

 

If only more judges took this kind of approach, we may have a lot more respectful teenagers out there.  As a bonus, here's video of Penelope's Soto return to court - notice how she keeps her mouth shut and barely makes a sound.  Lesson learned (maybe!)

 



 

Did You Get Your Free Pancakes from IHOP Today?

 

That's right, it's National Pancake Day and IHOP is celebrating by offering free stacks of pancakes today from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.  It's all in the name of charity as IHOP is hoping donations from this free pancake day will raise money for the Children's Miracle Network. 

Not a bad deal at all, free pancakes for a couple bucks toward a good cause.  IHOP has been doing this tradition for 8 years now and with locations all over the place, and it seems like you're never too far from one.  So don't forget, get to your local IHOP for free pancakes throughout the day today (2/5/13.)

The Bar Refaeli Go Daddy Commercial is Even Steamier in Uncensored Version!

Jaws dropped during the Super Bowl commercial fest when Go Daddy aired their traditionally controversial ad.  This year featured mega hot supermodel Bar Refaeli in what can only be described as a make out session with your common everyday computer nerd.  I don't know if it was the fact it was a computer nerd or the fact that we were getting an up close view of this lip lock complete with smacking sounds that made this commercial so controversial, but now Go Daddy has released the UNCENSORED version of this commercial, and all we can say is it was obviously too much tongue for TV!

In THIS version there is some major tongue action going on, which is obviously the reason it wasn't the version that aired on network TV. Some props must be given to Ms. Refaeli for getting down and dirty with...the underdog so to speak.  So if you haven't seen "Walter" get enough action from Bar Refaeli, he gets plenty more here:

 

Video: Destiny's Child Reunites at the Super Bowl Halftime Show

Well the Super Bowl has come and gone, but the buzz and talk about it might be at an even higher level than it was prior to the game.  I don't consider myself a football super fan, but you almost have to watch the "big game" whether it's for the game itself, the slew of brand new commercials, or the huge halftime show.

This year the halftime show was handled by Beyonce, who judging by reports was rehearsing all week for her mega-performance.  Of course there were rumors of some sort of Destiny's Child involvement since Super Bowl performances usually go all out, but the rumors were denied throughout the week.  Beyonce had a crazy stage of course (that we're still surprised they can get on the field in the short amount of time they do) and when the time was right, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams joined Beyonce on stage for the big Destiny's Child reunion.  They showed without a doubt that they are still the powerhouse girl group they were over 10 years ago, and was cool to see since we know Beyonce really could be a star on her own without any reunions if she wanted to.
