Khan and Klingons in Star Trek 2!!!!!!

Its a rumor that grew and grew until there was no denying it. Benedict Cumberbatch who has been cast as the unknown villain in the next Star Trek will indeed be playing Khan! TrekMovie.com has confirmed with sources close to the movie that Khan and the Klingons will be appearing in the sequel. For those not in the know, the Klingons actually appeared in the first movie, but the scene was deleted. The news now is that they are an important part to the next movies storyline. So there you have it.

Khan! Klingons! Trek! Oh my!!!

Prepare fresh underwear. New Dark Knight Rises Trailer arrives!

A huge viral campaign went on today. I missed all of it due to being at the mall all day, but it doesn't matter because it all led to THIS. Ever since they announced Bane as the villain I have been wondering, will Bane break the Bat in the movie? This trailer, shows quite a bit, and it appears from this trailer, I may have found my answer. Wow.

Mel Gibson on Jay Leno. Proof why hes still awesome.

Mel Gibson was on Jay Leno last week. And as much as I hate Jay Leno, I have to give him a high fiver for having Mel on to explain his side of the story of his most recent invasion of privacy. Check out the video below.

Black Ops 2 confirmed??

Someone at Target snapped a pic of these pre-order cards for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The first official commercial for the game is expected during the NBA Playoffs on Tuesday May 1st. This is awesome news, I loved Black Ops. Even more than Modern Warfare 3. I hope we get another awesome Zombie game like Call of the Dead. Tune into the NBA Playoffs for a commercial for the game, if not, I'm sure itll be online soon after it airs.

Sort of sequel to Knocked Up, This is 40, now has a trailer!

Judd Apatow can do no wrong in my eyes. Do you remember what comedy movies were like before he came along with Knocked Up? I do. It was awful. The R rated comedy was DEAD. But he came and put life back into it like a Necromancer. Yes. Skyrim reference. Boo yaa! Anywho, for those who saw Knocked Up, you may remember Paul Rudd and Leslie Manns characters. Well this movie is about them. It is unclear who else from Knocked Up will be returning but in this trailer we see the gynecologist as well as Jason Segels character. It comes out this Christmas. Prepare for taint joke.

The Return of Leisure Suit Larry! In HD!

Back in 1987, Sierra was king to me. Before there was Skyrim, I was running around in Kings Quest on my PC. And there was a certain guy that taught me a lot about adulthood, even though I was just a young buck. His name, is Leisure Suit Larry.

It appears that Replay Games has been aiming to raise $500,000 to make this game possible, and they have done it. With the help of the original creator of the game, Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards will be hitting every PC, console and mobile device possible. And if it is a success, they will continue bringing back the entire original series of games, in HD!

TLC Set for Reunion Tour....WITH Left Eye

I pretty much predicted stuff like this would be coming after my report of 2Pac's return at CoachellaTMZ reports that TLC members T-Boz and Chilli will be doing a 2012 reunion tour.  Apparently the word is that the tour will feature a special appearance from Left Eye as well.  Now we know that 2Pac was able to return in hologram form thanks to millions of dollars, millions of dollars I'm pretty sure TLC doesn't have.

So it looks like they will be attempting the next best thing, which will be projecting Left Eye on a big screen.  It might come across as low rent, but maybe they can make it work.  The bigger question is, can TLC draw crowds to big arenas with only 2 members and some small Left Eye representation.  TLC was the hottest group anywhere 10-15 years ago, but has their time now passed?  I vaguely remember TLC doing a reality show to find a new member, but apparently that never happened as they seem to have forgotten it ever happened too.

It's a bold move, but maybe there is enough nostalgic memories to make people want to see TLC at least one more time on tour.  I have a feeling the appearances from Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes won't be as spectacular as 2Pac was, but still could be pretty cool. The jury is out on this one, TLC is just going to have to hit the road and see how things work out.  It's hard to believe that today is actually the 10 year anniversary of the day Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes died.

Rock Chicks from the 90s!

There was a huge collection of chicks in the 90s who just wanted to rock out and make teenage boys like myself discover the strange new things happening to their bodies thanks to these chicks. Well some of them. Others were a little too scary.

AND EVERYTHIGNS FIIIIIINNNEEEEEAABABABBEEEEERRRRR!!!!!!

I actually saw Veruca Salt in concert. One of them grabbed cotton candy and rubbed it on their crotch and threw it in the crowd. I wasn’t quite sure how to handle that situation at the time.I know I did end up wearing my Veruca Salt shirt almost every day though.

Gwen Stefani was def the hottest rock chick of the 90s. And she is one of the very very few who actually made it out of the 90s. An entire blog dedicated to Gwen will be along at some point in the future.

I remember I bought this album the same day I went and bought a Jenny McCarthy poster. Epic day.

This video made me feel kinda funny.

Major nostalgia with this song.

Never heard any other song by these guys but this song was so awesome they didn’t need any other songs.

This band was referenced on an episode of Roseanne once.

Lucious Jackson actually did a bunch of songs for the show The Adventures Of Pete & Pete.

HOLY CRAP. I forgot all about this song until I started making this list.

This song was so freaking cool back then, I remember I borrowed this CD from this guy I worked with at a golf course, and never gave it back. Ha!

Wowza. This song had me questioning all kinds of new things in life.

This song always pissed me off mainly because there was some weird Jock Jam remix version that was played more than the original version.

Remember buying a CD for just one song? This was that one song.

Lisa. Loeb. Many who know me, know I have had a crush on Lisa Loeb ever since she first popped up on my TV all those years ago. Those damn glasses. I think this list needs to end here.

G.I. Joe Retaliation has a full on trailer! Fully!

I am so happy to see The Rock full embracing and becoming what we all hoped he would when he jumped into movies, an action star. A living action figure. Weve been missing the full on action superstar in movies for years now. And I am also thrilled to see that we are getting a proper G.I. Joe movie. The last one was aimed directly at little kids, and not really for the fans, but this time, it is OUR time. GOOOOOO JOE!!!!!!!

The trailer reveals what happens to the characters from the previous movie, and gives us a bit more info on the plot. So slight spoilers are in the trailer.

Scary movie 5 is on the way...... damnit.

So if there was ever a post that was made strictly just for some keyword searches and what not, this is it. I thought we were done with this stupid movies? If you actually googled searched to see if they are making a 5th Scary Movie, then go in the bathroom and put your head inside the toilet and give yourself a swirly for being such a moron. These are some of the worst movies that exist. We never really write about them, because they're useless and the people who enjoy them are just as useless. But like I said, we like traffic to the site, so SCARY MOVIE 5 SCARY MOVIE 5 SCARY MOVIE 5 SHOOT ME IN THE FACE.

Oh and if thats not enough, Scary Movie 5 is being made by the genius film making mind behind Soul Plane! The sad thing is this piece of crap will make tons of money at the box office because of the idiotic 15 year old kids who have parents that should raise their kids to avoid crap movies, while GOOD movies like Cabin in the Woods struggle to find an audience. Ugh.

Oh and the image here has nothing to do with Scary Movie 5, it just represents my face when I found out about this movie.

Top 10 Movies of 1991

You gotta understand this isn’t about what was the absolute best of that year, it’s about the top movies that when I see them now, they bring me back to those moments when I saw them for the first time. So here we go. 1991. This was a very hard list to put together, so many great movies that year.

10. Suburban Commando
I loved wrestling. So obviously I made my Dad take me to go see this opening weekend. I didn’t really go see many movies with just it being me and him. But I remember every single one that we did see. I remember sitting in the movie theater trying to figure out, how did Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker get along on the set of the movie? How did they make this movie without really beating each other up?? Mind was blown.

9. Drop Dead Fred
I remember after seeing this I came up with my own imaginary friend. It didn’t last very long. But I did carry over the snotface wipe from this movie into real life. People didn’t appreciate that too much.

8. What About Bob?
When this came out, it was probably the funniest movie I had ever seen in my life. And today it remains as one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. I remember going to a friends slumber party and staying up all night because every time someone fell asleep they were picked up and tossed into the swimming pool. So I stayed up all night and got home around 11am. I put this movie on and laid on the couch to watch it for probably the 10th time that week before falling asleep. Every time I see this movie, I think of that awesome party.

7. Dutch
I think Dutch would qualify as the very first “dark comedy” that I ever saw. I was expecting the usual Home Alone style comedy but got something very different, and very awesome.

6. Ernest Scared Stupid
Probably the last cool Ernest movie. After this one it was pretty downhill. I do remember stocking up on milk like there was no tomorrow after seeing this movie. And calling everyone at school booger lips.

5. Cool As Ice
What is there to say about this movie that hasn’t already been said everywhere else? I remember watching this movie right after I had finished watching Please Hammer Don’t Hurt Em The Movie. I was more of a Hammer fan than I was a Vanilla fan. But this movie won the day because it hit DVD, and still pops up on TV from time to time.

4. The Perfect Weapon
The best opening to a movie ever. I got this song and would do karate in my living room every night before bed after seeing this movie. I never really knew any karate, but I thought I did because of that movie and that song taught me enough. Just at work doing some construction wait, the suns going down, gotta go home and do karate!

3. Curly Sue
The last movie that John Hughes ever directed. One of those that I didn’t have too much interest in seeing, but my Grandma took me to the theater to see anyways and I really liked it then. I don’t think I have even seen this movie since then either.

2. The Addams Family
One of the few my Dad took me to see. One of the few that is really deserving of an awesome special edition blu ray release already! One of the few adaptations that held up so well that it is worthy of being dubbed a classic. Also MC Hammer did an awesome song for it. Take that Will Smith, Hammer did it first!

1. Terminator 2
Yep. The most ass kicking movie ever made at that time. Another I saw with my Dad in the theater. Every time I see this I instantly think of sitting just a few rows from the screen and the entire thing being on fire with the logo coming up. And of course, one of the best movie themes of all time.

So that does it for 1991. I will compile the list for 92 which should be comin next week.

Noteable Netflix Instant Additions 4-24-12

Three mega shows have been added to Netflix Instant today! Welcome back 80s Saturday Mornings!

JEM!

TRANSFORMERS!

and lastly....

GI JOE!

Kurt Sutters "Outlaw Empires" is coming!

Kurt Sutter, the creator of one of the best shows that exists, Sons of Anarchy, is heading into reality TV. But not like one of those lil sissy girl reality shows. Kurt Sutter has teamed up with Discovery Channel to bring us, Outlaw Empires. A reality show that will go into criminal organizations around the world and tell the story from their perspective. Each episode will focus on a certain group and interviews with current and former members, some who are in hiding, and as Kurt Sutter said, this show will make Sons of Anarchy look like Sesame Street.

I freakin LOVE Sons of Anarchy, and just about anything Kurt gets involved with. The Shield is still one of, if not the very best, show of all time. Yeah, I said it. Deal with that.

Outlaw Empires premieres on May 14th. BOOM! Head over here and check out the preview!

Mel Gibson joins Machete sequel!

Just the other day we posted about how people need to just leave Mel Gibson alone and let the man do what he does best, act and make movies. My love for Gibson knows no bounds. Gibson, like Tom Cruise, may have really weird personal tastes and thoughts, but who cares? We don't watch them and become their fans for those reasons, we do because of their movies. He has some of the most memorable characters in the history of movies, and now he just might be adding one more to that list.

Word about his character is not yet been released but if Gibson plays the movies lead villain, oh man. It will be glorious.

Gina Carano joins Fast Six?!

Gina Carano pretty amazingly hot. And I am a huge fan of the Fast and the Furious franchise, except for the 2nd and 3rd installments, blegh. So it pleases me to hear that MMA hottie Gina Carano is joining the series. The role is yet to be known, but I am sure it will involve some ass kicking. Fast Six will see the return of the core characters as well as some from the past. If you saw after the credits of Fast Five, you know what Im talking about.

For those that gave up on the series after the 2nd or 3rd one, you should jump back in. Fast Five was the best one of the entire series and holds its own as a damn good movie by itself. I only hold the first one down due to the insane amount of rip offery it did from Point Break.

This is the best news since Gina Carano stripped nude at a weigh in.

So if you don't like that, then make ya own got dayum pahpcorn!

Harley Quinns Revenge! Batman Arkham City Game of the Year edition!

On May 29th, Batman Arkham City Game of the Year edition will hit the shelves. And along with it comes tons of goodies.

It includes the "Catwoman Pack," "Nightwing Bundle Pack," "Robin Bundle Pack," "Challenge Map Pack" and "Arkham City Skins Pack." As well as new gameplay content, seven maps, three playable characters, and 12 skins.

So what specific new gameplay content? How about an all new story?

Harley Quinn has assembled her own group of thugs to seek out some revenge. You will play as Batman and Robin this time as you must go back into the city to uncover her plot and beat the crap out of a bunch of Quinn Thugs. There will also be all new environments to explore. You don't need to buy the Game of the Year edition to get this new story, it will be available as DLC on May 29th. Check out the trailer below!

Treyarchs new Call Of Duty revealed on May 1st!

I have been a COD fanboy since the first Modern Warfare. Each year it has been back and forth with Treyarch handling their own Call of Dutys like World at War and Black Ops. While Infinity Ward handled the Modern Warfare series. To me, Black Ops was far better than Modern Warfare 3. So I am pretty excited to see what they have coming. Stay tuned during the NBA Playoffs on May 1st to check out the reveal. I demand more Call Of The Dead!

Check the site out here.

All new Dark Knight Rises trailer with The Avengers?!

Oh man. So I already want to see The Avengers insanely bad. We typically go to movies on a Sunday night, or Monday or Tuesday afternoon to avoid crowds. But I will be there Friday night May 4th for sure for this one. And now to top it all off, its been announced that the new Dark Knight Rises trailer will be seen before The Avengers. Wow.

Face it. Windows Phone is Much Cooler than The iPhone Anyway

I've been seeing a lot of commercials lately for this new cell phone from AT&T- The Lumia 900 by Nokia. My first thought was, What? Nokia still makes cell phones? It seems like everyone is on the smartphone kick these days. If you don't have an iPhone you at least have an Android smartphone, like a Motorola Droid or something like that. And, Haha. A few lames still have BlackBerries, but RIM BlackBerry is as good as dead. No one's buying that ish. But I haven't really heard much from Nokia in years. I remember when all the Tracfone prepaid phones were old Nokias. They still doin' that?

Anyway, hate as I have, I've been looking into this a little more. The Nokia Lumia 900 AT&T is a Windows Phone. Oh No! No one uses Windows! Errr.. they do. I bet most of those reading this are on a Windows machine of some sort. Sure they are mostly on PCs, but guess what? PCs aren't going anywhere. Neither is Windows, Microsoft products in general, feature phones, or non-iPhone smartphones. Geez- Most of the visitors to this site are on Internet Explorer. But are many on Windows Phone? Not really. The thing is, to fall in love with Windows Phone you really have to use one. People who use it love it. Those who don't pick their smartphone OS based on what the "cool kids" are doing. And let's face it, in this battle of the nerds, somehow Steve Jobs and Apple came-off as sorta hip. Then they made iEverything and ran with it. It's about the branding and the status, not about the quality of service. Sure Apple dominates in some things like iTunes and the iPod, and there's good reason for it. But when it comes to cell phones there are other options. You don't have to be an iSheep.

Let's face it, iPhones are for hipsters and geeks who think they are cool because they can get their parents to shell out hundreds of dollars for a status symbol every year. Android phones are already doing great, and they will keep getting bigger. Even Windows Phone based cell phones are starting to come around. Recent reports said the Cyan Lumia 900 was sold out at AT&T and on Amazon. They are having a hard time keeping them in stock. AT&T is pushing promo hard for this line of phones. Results have been mixed, but it looks like this Lumia is a hit, and people who use it actually like it. Windows Phone is probably as good as iPhone and a better value. It just has weak branding to this point based on ancient history and misplaced status aspirations. To find out what's best, Try them all out. Try out an iPhone, a high end Droid, and a Windows Phone like one of the Nokia Lumia line. Then see what's good and not just hype.

Rosario Dawson and Mickey Rourke Set to Return for Sin City 2

Once every few years, a movie comes along that impresses me enough to be added to my list of "movies I'll put on every time they're on" list....2005's Sin City is one of those movies.  Last week we brought you the official announcement of the Sin City sequel - A Dame to Kill For, and today we have news on original cast members returning for the sequel.

MTV.com spoke with Robert Rodriguez who confirmed that he spoke with both Rosario Dawson and Mickey Rourke and both are pumped to return for the sequel.  This is great news because the originals are part of the reason the movie was so great, and an all new cast would worry me.  Of course Mickey Rourke's character "Marv" died in the first one, so either this will be some sort of prequel or since it's comic world they'll find a way to bring him back.

Sin City brought us a comic world, gore, and boobs all in one movie....I think a sequel would aim to do the same.  I remember reading that Rosario Dawson was supposed to have an outfit that exposed her boobs in the movie, but I guess plans change as she only showed a lot of ass.  I'm hoping for the sequel she doesn't mind getting naked like she did in "Alexander."

MTV also brings up a rumor that Angelina Jolie would be cast as the "Dame to Kill For," which would be interesting to say the least although she hasn't been cast yet.  Sin City 2 should start filming this summer, so it will be interesting to see who is cast and how many of the original cast end up returning.

Leave Mel Gibson alone!

So audio of Mel Gibson losing his shit was released today. Seriously. If every single conversation you had was always being recorded. And you were constantly being made fun of and shit on in the tabloids, would you be calm as a daisy on a cool spring day all the time? No. So now Mel Gibson is getting tons of crap because of this audio today where he is going nuts on the phone while at a dinner in Costa Rica.

Honestly, leave him alone. The guy has brought us some of the most memorable movies in the history of Hollywood. Hes Martin Riggs for cryin out loud! He brought us Braveheart which is one of the best movies ever made. Its like Tom Cruise. In his personal life, hes a nut case. But he still makes bad ass movies. And that is all we need him for. Leave Mel alone, let him make some movies.

Arrested Development 4th season all at once!

Man, this is why Netflix is awesome. And why shows should just go there instead. It was announced today that when Netflix brings all new Arrested Development to the fans, it will be all at once. The entire 4th season will be posted to their instant streaming on the same day. 10 fresh episodes. My heart is happy. Thank you Netflix. I never lost faith in you.

I know the song above has nothing to do with the show. I just like this song. And if you don't, then I challenge you to a game of horseshoes. A GAME OF HORSESHOES!

Dick Clark died. Finally.

Yeah. I said finally. If you think Dick Clark was happy in his current state then you are out of your mind. The poor guy suffered a stroke and has been dealing with declining health for almost 10 years now. Finally death came last night in the form of a heart attack and ended his suffering.

Maybe now New Years wont have such a buzzkill moment. We would be having a grand ol time, watching the ball drop in Times Square on TV and then. Dick Clark pops up. Barely able to speak. Making everyone watching feel like shit for him. Now the question is, will they get a Dick Clark hologram for this year?

RIP Dick Clark.

Leave the TSA alone and let them do their damn jobs!

This video is making the rounds today....

At least once a week I see a news story about something "horrible" that involves the TSA. Shut the hell up already. There are countless blogs, articles, comments, websites all dedicated to bitching and whining about the TSA and other security measures that airports take now and how insanely strict things are. Well guess what? YOU FORGOT. Yeah. You know the countless bumper stickers and shirts and crap all over the country NEVER FORGET. They're talking about September 11th 2001. Now do me a favor and go find the widow with a kid who lost their husband on that day, and ask them if they wish that airports had security measures back then like they did today. You know what the TSA is doing? Protecting your stupid asses. And don't give me this "Yeah but even old people and little kids deserve a random search?!" Yes. They do. Terrorists are bat shit crazy. And they will use little kids, old people, fat people, white people, black people, all kinds of people out there to carry out an attack.

Shut up. And let them do their jobs. So you have to get a little pat down and search in order to make sure you and other passengers reach your destination safely. Deal with it. Would you prefer this again?

If you have that big a problem that you would prefer another terrorist attack over getting patted down and searched, then drive a damn car to your destination. Road trip time.

Tron Uprising commercial makes me giddy

I love Tron. And Tron Legacy is a good movie but I think I rewatch it over and over again just for the amazing soundtrack. And now comes Tron Uprising. Which is a new animated show on Disney XD which brings along a pretty awesome voice cast for being just a kids cartoon show. Elijah Wood, Mandy Moore, Lance Hendrickson, Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman), Emmanuel Chiqui, Reginald Vel Johnson (Carl Winslow!) and Bruce Boxleitner as Tron of course.

The show takes place between the first and second movie. The series premieres this June.

2Pac FINALLY Returns From the Dead.......Performs at Coachella 2012

So this is where technology has brought us.  Ever wish you had the chance to see 2Pac perform live?  Ever see him live and wonder what it would be like to see him in this day and age of music?  Well all of that can pretty much happen now, as 2Pac returned from the dead and performed at Coachella 2012....in hologram form.

That's right, a 2Pac hologram appeared on stage and performed with Snoop Dog in the most talked about moment of the event.  The hologram even addressed the Coachella audience by name, which definitely gave it an authentic feel rather than the feel that they somehow just pulled some old video of Pac and threw something together.  It was a crazy site seeing 2Pac and Snoop performing on stage together in 2012, especially after the near 16 years of controversy since Tupac Shakur's death in 1996.  For years now there have been "sightings" and rumors of Tupac being alive and in hiding, but the hologram version was the closest thing to the real deal we are going to get.

Now this begs the question....will these hologram performances be all the rage in the future?  Will it be possible to go to say.......a Jimi Hendrix or Elvis concert in the future?  Could such an event pack an arena?  The possibilities here are intriguing to say the least.  Take a look at video of 2Pac's Coachella performance and see if you think a 2Pac tour may be next:

Review: Goon

I'm a very moderate hockey fan. When it's playoff time I pay attention to the scores on the news. I've been to a couple games, but I've never been a hardcore fan. Lately I have actually been watching the playoffs and I feel the hockey fan inside of me growing. Sadly I live in Phoenix, where we may not even have a hockey team next season, just as my fandom has arrived. But, hockey fan, or not a hockey fan, Goon should please both sides.

It stars Seann William Scott as Doug The Thug Glatt. Who is picked up by a hockey team to be their Goon. A Goon is the guy on the team whose purpose is to go out there, and take out whoever is starting some shit. If a guy on the other team plays dirty, the coach will send out the goon to take care of the problem.

At first glance the casting of Sean William Scott and the plot of the movie may make it seem like this is just a wacky guy gettin into some wacky hockey hijinks. But that is not the case, this is actually a GOOD movie. Like, really damn good. As in this may just end up in the top 10 of the year list when it comes down to it. There has been a severe shortage of R rated sports comedies. This one really nails it. There is even a little bit of drama in it to go along with the comedy. And at times may even feel like the Rocky of hockey movies. Along with William Scott is Liev Schreiber who plays the old legendary goon on his way out. You know the whole movie is leading to their eventual encounter, and William Scotts lovable dopey character interacting with his love interest, gives it that real Rocky feel.

I really dug this movie. It's currently in limited release but is also on OnDemand and iTunes for rental. Check out the trailer below.

Dowager Countess on Downton Abbey is leaving?!

Maggie Smith, the actress who plays the Dowager Countess on one of the best shows EVER, Downton Abbey, has asked for her character to be written off and for the shows third season to be her last season.

No real scandal or drama as to why she wants to leave the show, she just feels that three seasons of the show is enough. For those not too much in the know, unlike here in America, where shows go on and on and on and on, over in the UK they normally give their shows a good 2-3 seasons and then that's the end of the series. But with Downton being such a huge hit in both the UK and the US, it seems that it will continue on after the third season. Which is awesome news, since this one of my favorite shows currently going. If you have yet to watch it, the first season if available on Netflix Instant.

90's Flashback: Top 10 Movies of 1990

We're talking about the movies that when we watch it today, it takes us back to a happier time in life.

10. Ghost Dad

Yep, Ghost Dad in a top 10 best of list. But why? I saw this movie in the theater, twice, two days in a row. I had stayed home sick from school that day and my Grandma had asked me if I wanted to go see Ghost Dad, I of course said yes so we went. The next day, I woke up, still sick, and I asked if we could go see it again, and we did. Good times. But sadly today the movie doesn't hold up like it did to the 9 year old me

.

9. Gremlins 2: The New Batch
My parents owned a video store back then and we had been invited to a big studio screening of the movie. Back then that sorta thing happened every once in awhile. But we got all kinds of free Gremlins 2 stuff, and being a huge wrestling fan I loved when Hulk Hogan appeared and told the Gremlins to turn the movie back on. But when the movie came out on VHS, that part of the movie was oddly changed into something else, it was quite weird.

8. Arachnophobia
John Goodman. That is about all that needs to be said about this movie. I have loved Roseanne since day 1, and seeing that John Goodman was in a movie filled me with glee. The movie itself was kinda boring, Goodman should have been the main character.

7. Problem Child
Man this kid was an asshole. All John Ritter wanted to do was be a cool fun Dad and this kid would lose his mind and ruin birthday parties and camping trips every moment he could. Then he ran off with a serial killer and John Ritter got shot in the prune!

6. Home Alone
The top movie of 1990 in the box office. I saw this in the theater with my parents and loved it. I had the movies poster up in my room and when it came out on video I watched it daily. To this day it remains as a must watch during Christmas time.

5. Ducktales The Movie
The only movie on this list, and the only movie I can think of really from the 90s that I loved dearly, yet it never really came out on DVD. It had a short run on DVD but now only place to find it is used. Stupid Disney and their "vault".

4. Edward Sissorhands
Another movie I saw in the theater with my Grandma. My parents worked a lot at the video store, so she was the one who raised me through the 90s for the most part. If I wasn't at the video store with my parents, I was at home with my Grandma who would always take me to random movies, which you will read about more and more I'm sure. But this is another one of those movies that remains a classic that always gets watched during Christmas. And the 2nd best movie soundtrack of 1990. The first best is coming up.

3. Tremors
Such a great movie, such a failure of a franchise. No Bacon. No franchise. I remember first seeing this back then and feeling very funny whenever the chicks pants come off after getting caught up in the barb wire.

2. Dick Tracy
Holy. Epic. The music, the characters, the story, everything was amazing to me. Still to this day, this movie holds up and makes me feel like a kid. But that music, gets the chills going every time I hear it. Danny Elfman did the music for both Dick Tracy, and Edward Sissorhands.

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Of course. The best movie of 1990, is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I was a kid, and it was the Ninja Turtles. And back then you had to realize, this movie was like The Dark Knight of the Ninja Turtles. On TV they were always partying and having a good time, which is what I expected from a movie, but didn't get. Sure they had pizza and some laughs, but this movie was pretty dark as well, and had some DAMN serious moments. A classic.

J.K. Rowlings first post Potter book, The Casual Vacancy coming in September.

The first novel by J.K. Rowling since she changed the planet with the Harry Potter franchise will be heading our way on September 27th. This is also her first novel not aimed at children. So kids might want to steer clear of this one as it seems kinda political. Here is the rundown of the plot. You can pre-order the book here.

When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early forties, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils…. Pagford is not what it first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the town’s council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen. Who will triumph in an election fraught with passion, duplicity and unexpected revelations?

Need For Speed: The Movie? I guess.....

So, EA is pitching to studios a film version of their popular racing game Need For Speed. Universal Pictures will not be pitched to, probably since they already make those movies, they're called Fast and the Furious.

These games are alright, I've played a few of them here and there but nothing ever hooked me. Kind of the same ol same ol racing game. My nephew used to be obsessed with them. Now if this was a Skyrim movie, that would be a different story.

Sin City sequel officially underway! A Dame To Kill For!

Dimension Films made it official today. Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller will team up again to bring us the sequel to Sin City. A Dame To Kill For. Below is the official statement from Dimension Films.

Filmmakers Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller, along with producer Alexander Rodnyansky, have announced that production will commence on the highly anticipated sequel to 2005’s Sin City, entitled Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. The film will be produced by AR Films and Quick Draw Productions, financed through AR Films U.S and released domestically by Dimension Films.

“The first question I am always asked is “When will you make another Sin City? ,” said Rodriquez. “I have wanted to re-team with Frank Miller and return to the world he created since the day we wrapped the original, but have felt a duty to the fans to wait until we had something truly exceptional that would meet and exceed what have become epic expectations. A Dame To Kill For will certainly be worth the wait.”

Sin City creator, screenwriter and co-director Frank Miller said, “The first Sin City knocked out audiences who had never seen anything like it before. Robert Rodriguez and I are going to shake things up and deliver a ferocious film experience that is going to go even further than the first.“

The script and details of the film’s story have been kept tightly under wraps. Casting will begin next week, with many of the original cast expected to return. The film, a Quick Draw Production, will be produced by Rodriguez and producing partners Aaron Kaufman and Iliana Nikolic; and by Alexander Rodnyansky and Sergei Bespalov and Stephen L’Hereux. Miller, The Weinstein Company’s Harvey and Bob Weinstein and Miramax’s Adam Fields will act as executive producers. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For was developed by Frank Miller based upon his graphic novel, with a screenplay by Frank Miller and Academy Award winner William Monahan (The Departed). The film is expected to begin production this summer at Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios in Austin, Texas.

Alexander Rodnyansky said, “We are delighted to continue our relationship with Robert Rodriguez and Quick Draw Productions. It is a rare opportunity to produce and finance a film with the high profile and enormous fan base of the Sin City franchise. AR FIlms will be managing worldwide sales of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, as well as Robert’s Machete Kills at the Cannes Film Festival in May.”

The original Sin City was brought to the screen by Rodriguez and Miller and released by Dimension in 2005, and proved to be a landmark step forward in filmmaking, breaking ground with immersive green screen to create its iconic stylish look. The first film, released on April 1, 2005, grossed over $160 million (US) worldwide and is a consistently strong home video and television performer.

“Audiences have been clamoring for Sin City 2 with Robert and Frank for a long time and trust me, it will be worth the wait,” said Bob Weinstein, co-chairman of The Weinstein Company. “This will be my 11th collaboration with Robert in 16 years and he’s become a great friend. I look forward to continuing our long lasting relationship and partnering on more projects in the future.”

Django Unchained poster!

This poster is freakin awesome. Expecting no less from the man himself, Quentin Tarantino. I have never gone to the movies on Christmas Day before. But this year will be a first. I have been a die hard Tarantino fanboy since my parents received a Pulp Fiction screener at their video store way back when I was just a little lad in the 7th grade. So it makes since that my first ever trip to the movies on Christmas Day would be for a Tarantino movie. Merry Christmas indeed.

Django Unchained has an epic cast of Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson, Sasha Baron Cohen, Don Johnson, M.C. Gainey, Kurt Russell, James Remar, The RZA, and more.

Django Unchained is about Jamie Foxx who with the aid of a German bounty hunter, Christoph Waltz, goes on a mission to free his slave wife from an evil plantation owner.

Pacific Rim set report!

Pacific Rim already has me with a raging nerd boner. As a kid, and even as an adult, I LOVE me some giant monster movies. I was raised on Godzilla and have done so with my own kid, who at 3 years old probably knows more about the monsters in Godzilla movies than most adults, even myself. So watching this tiny little set report, showing how they have turned Toronto into Tokyo, has me ready for some giant monster mayhem. I also must note that the great Guillermo Del Toro of Pans Labyrinth and Hellboy fame is at the helm. And both of those movies featured some pretty great monsters. I can't wait. And for you SAMCRO fans out there, Pacific Rim also stars Charlie Hunnam (Jax) and and Ron Pearlman (Clay).

Skyrim. The Best Console Game Of All Time?

I've been playing video games since Intellevision. Yeah. Before Nintendo. Burgertime, Utopia, Asteroids, BEEE SEVETEEEEEN BOOOOOMBERRRRRR. (Very few will get that). So with over 25 years of video gaming experience under my belt, it comes as somewhat of a surprise to me that I am now considering putting Skyrim as the best game of all time, on my list at least.

I love video games but I am always bummed when they come to an all too quick end. Call of Duty can be beat in just a couple hours really. Bigger games like Red Dead Redemption and GTA come along but even those come to an end. And after they are all said and done, whats left to do? Some online fun, but that's it. A lot of games like Arkham City and others pack on side missions and other quests to try to keep gamers gaming but they never really last. Most games top out at around 40-50 hours of gameplay. But Skyrim, that is not the case.

Last night, I hit my 40th hour of gameplay on Skyrim. And the thing is, I haven't really even begun the main storyline in the game. I've been going through two side quests. The Thieves Guild, and the Dark Brotherhood. As well as a couple other side quests here and there. Some people have told me they have hit well over 300+ hours of gaming and are still going strong. The game is never ending, and you don't really ever grow tired of it. It is one of the biggest open world games, as well as the one of the most interactive games I have ever played. You can talk to and interact with every character you see in the game. And just about every object in the game. Random people on the street can turn into friends or enemies. You can just about do whatever you want in the game. And the thing is there is even MORE on the way as there are rumors of Bethesda adding some DLC including new quests, and new enhancements to the game.

The music, the characters, the story, everything in this game is top notch. You owe it to yourself as a gamer to play this game.

Marc Webb is dumb. Amazing Spider-Man blah.

For some reason I just can't get excited for The Amazing Spider-Man. I don't know what it is. I love Spider-Man. And I should be excited for something to kinda give it a fresh look after that last movie. I dunno, maybe it's the fact that its an origin story, that we already know. Everyone knows the origin of Spider-Man. So, why am I calling Marc Webb, the director of The Amazing Spider-Man dumb? Well, he was quoted as saying....

"I wanted to give the audience something new."

Really? So, you give us an origin story? How exactly is showing us Peter Parker getting bit by a radioactive spider, doing something new?

I don't know how to feel about this movie, I will be there at the theatre to see it but, not sporting any type of grin on my face. Hmmm.

Spoiler free Cabin in the Woods review!

This review will be 100% spoiler free. So fear not.

I point this out because when the movie first started with its promotion, a few people told me to not watch ANY of the full on trailers. Read nothing about it. Avoid anything and everything about this movie before it comes out. And I did. Thank god. Now in the TV commercials you see the movie is basically about a group of kids that go to a cabin and its the typical horror movie, except you see glimpses of what seems like some computer controlled room where people are setting off traps in the house? Yeah. That much is all you need to know before you see this movie. Venturing for any further information risks spoiling any of the huge twists and turns that this movie will take you on.

For anyone and everyone out there who bitches about Hollywood being out of ideas. Pissed at the nonstop remakes and sequels, then go see this movie. Here is a movie that on the surface seems like the same ol same ol, but it is FAR from it. This is one of the most original horror movies I have seen in a long, LONG, time. And you of course, have the great Joss Whedon to thank for it. If you love horror, and you love original ideas, go and see this movie. Support it. Do whatever it takes, but trust me, do not watch any trailers for it. Do not read any reviews. Don't even go to the movies IMDB page. If anything pops up on TV about this, turn it off, mute it and close your eyes for 30 seconds, anything.

The movie is fantastic. An instant cult classic. Go and see it this weekend, bring all of your friends and prepare to sit down and discuss this movie at great length.

Trailer for new Simon Pegg movie A Fantastic Fear of Everything

If Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, or Edgar Wright are attached to a movie in any way, there is a very good chance I will be there to see it. I have a huge fanboy crush on all three of those guys. I had zero interest in that Kristen Stewart Snow White movie, then I heard Nick Frost was in it, now I am there opening weekend for sure.

Below is the trailer for Simon Peggs new movie, A Fantastic Fear of Everything. And from the looks of it, it looks like something Terry Gilliam might have dreamt one night. Pegg plays an author who pretty much loses his mind. Check it out.

Breaking Bad returns this year...AND next year?!

There is no debate. And if you debate this, I am sorry but you are wrong. Breaking Bad is the best show on TV. Hands down. Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, Game Of Thrones, all amazing shows, and plenty of other amazing shows, but sometimes, they have their flaws. Breaking Bad is FLAWLESS. So knowing that this upcoming season will be its last has been a bit of a bummer, but hearing that they will be splitting it up, makes it a little easier to deal with.

Bryan Cranston has said that the season has begun shooting and they will shoot the first 8 episodes for them to begin airing this July. And then begin shooting the final 8 episodes to air next year.

If you have never seen, this music video below recaps all 4 seasons. And if you have seen, then watch anyways to be reminded of how epic this show is.

Adam West gets a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Most actors who get their stars on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame these days, actually buy them. It's not a wide known fact, but even you yourself, with enough money, can get a star on the walk of fame. So when you see this happening, its not as big of an honor as it may seem.

But that was not the case for Adam West!

Ralph Garman, co-host of the funniest Podcast that exists, Hollywood Babble-On, lead the crusade to help raise the money to get Adam West his star on the walk of fame. With the help of loyal Adam West / Batman fans, even myself, the money was raised and Adam West is now one of the few people lately to actually receive a star on the walk of fame as an honor, not because he bought it, but because of the iconic status that he holds with fans worldwide.

The masters of "found footage" movies return! Blair Witch directors new movie!

The Blair Witch Project scared the piss out of me. Most people go on about how much it sucked, but that's because they knew it was fake by the time they saw it. Or they just try to act tough. When I first saw it it was well before it had a wide release. And I bought into all the buzz about it being real. The books, TV specials, websites, everything. I bought it. I thought what I was watching was 100% real and it scared the crap out of me.

But even knowing it was mostly fake, (the actors in the movie were only given notes while in the middle of filming, even they had no idea what was happening), it is still a damn good movie. So the fact that the creators of it are now back with a new found footage movie, this time about Bigfoot. I am very excited. And maybe wont close my eyes like a little girl this time.

Here is the official press release followed by a make up test image. No CGI for these guys. BOOM!

Los Angeles, CA (April 5, 2012) - Haxan Films and Amber Entertainment announced today they will start production on Exists on April 9th at Spiderwood Studios in Elgin, TX with Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project, Lovely Molly) directing.

Produced by Robin Cowie, Jane Fleming, Andy Jenkins and Mark Ordesky. The screenplay is written by Jamie Nash. The ensemble cast includes Dora Madison Burge, Samuel Davis, Roger Edwards, Chris Osborn and Denise Williamson. Brian Steele (Predators, Hellboy), the well-known "suit actor" will play Bigfoot. The film's Executive Producers are Gregg Hale and Reed Frerichs.

Exists is Sanchez's first foray into found footage since The Blair Witch Project. The film is a horror-thriller that chronicles a group of friends who set out into a remote Texas woods for a weekend of fun and are stalked and hunted by Bigfoot.

Captain America sequel coming April 4th 2014.

So in 2 years from now we will get a Captain America sequel. Hoping that it will be better than the first movie. Captain America and Thor were both decent movies, but by the time Captain America ended it just felt like, "enough already, give me Avengers!" All the build up to the Avengers is what I think might have taken away from Thor and Captain America really. So it will be interesting to see what they do with the next movie.

Daniel Davies takes over as lead singer of CKY

Daniel Davies, vocalist for Year Long Disaster, has taken over the spot left by Deron Miller for CKY. Deron Miller and the rest of the member of CKY have had their ups and downs over the past few years but just late last year it all came to a conclusion as Deron officially left the band after a meltdown that happened on stage in front of many fans. Many CKY fans were left wondering what would happen next? Especially since CKY still had dates left for a tour.

Enter Daniel Davies.

Now fans are all bent out of shape, yelling for CKY to change the name of the band because of Deron Millers departure. Which is stupid. Many bands have had singers switch out, and things were just fine. Hell they even made a movie about it once. The thing is, even if CKY decided to change the name of the band, then there would be fans all over pissed because they changed the name of the band!

CKY is still alive. And will continue to put out music with Daniel Davies as the lead singer. Below is an interview with the new CKY.

Platinum Dunes taking on Halloween?!

Platinum Dunes is the company that remade all of the greats. Texas Chainsaw. Nightmare On Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Amityville Horror. And even though none of them were the best of horror movies, Ill take any of those remakes over the giant turd that Rob Zombie left with his two Halloween movies. So here is my plead to Platinum Dunes... Just hear me out....

Please do not reboot. Please do not continue Rob Zombies crapola. Bring back the original Myers! True the last Busta Rhymes movie with him Kung Fu fighting Myers was horse crap but there is still tons of story involved with Michael Myers from the original movies. The fans know the history, been told it twice now, so theres no reason to reboot AGAIN. And the Rob Zombie movies, forget it. So what should you do? Very simple.....
THE FIRST DEATH OF LAURIE STRODE!

This was a series of comics, that for some reason never got finished. The last issue went MIA. Or either it had a very small release and I missed it. But these were pretty damn interesting. The storyline takes place right after Halloween 2. And explains where Laurie went and what happened to her between Halloween 2 and Halloween H20. Now THAT is a movie I would like to see.

True Blood Season Five Teaser Trailer

True Blood. Jessica. That about sums it up for me. This show is kinda dumb and wacky. Theres no real emotional attachment to the stories or characters on this show. Its just kinda there. To me at least. Anyways, here is the trailer below. At least this season looks to be kinda darker and more serious. Hopefully itll make more sense than last season. Remember when the whole season started off in a the fairy world and a war of fairies and Sookie was being haunted by fairies and then they just, kinda left? And the whole fairy crapola was never talked about again? Yeah. True Blood. SOOKAAAYYYYYYYY

Dumb & Dumber 2 is a go!

The Farrelly Brothers used to make some pretty hilarious movies. Dumb and Dumber. Something About Mary, and Kingpin. But they've kinda gone to crap, especially with this Three Stooges movie. So its good to hear that Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey are both returning to do Dumb and Dumber 2. Filming begins in September so we can probably expect this movie next summer.
